Wedges
Wedges are irons with exceptionally high loft, designed for specific purposes. The pitching wedge is the most commonly used wedge. The sand wedge is used from the sand bunker, of course, but it can also be useful from the rough. The gap wedge is something of a middle ground between the pitching wedge and the sand wedge. Other wedges include the approach wedge, the lob wedge and the high-lob wedge.
